Abstract
To create a portal to transfer knowledge may seem easy. However, our experience shows that, in order for a user to accept the learning portal as their primary source of knowledge, a lot of attention to detail is necessary in how the content and interface is built. In order for users to accept a learning portal and to use it as their primary source of knowledge, not only must the content be arranged correctly, major elements in the interface should also be created with utmost care. This paper outlines some of the details that must be taken care of.
