  • Abstract
The radiation characteristics of dipoles near a reflecting cylinder are analyzed, and the possibility of installing TV transmitting antennas of two frequency channels on the same horizontal plane of a transmitting tower is investigated by using a combination of the moment method and the theory of reciprocity. The computational results show that, in general, a circular cross-section of the transmitting tower is a favorable shape to obtain better omnidirectional radiation patterns for different frequency channels. Although only some specific shapes of the cylinder cross-section and channels are considered, the technique is suitable for this type of problem with arbitrary shapes and other channels.<>
