  • Abstract
In this paper, an effective, convenient and cheap computerized microscopic system was developed to measure cell fluorescence quantitatively. A series of experiments were given to measure relative fluorescence intensity of DNA ploidy in mouse spermatozoa and hepatocytes, static [Ca2+]i (concentration of Ca2+) in single nerve cell and the change of [Ca2+]i in a nerve cell subjected to high K+ or glutamate. The experimental results show that the system gives accurate data, good stability and can be applied in biological analysis, medical research and clinical inspection.
