Abstract
This work presents a solid modeling technique for precise representation of mobile phones, for SAR prediction, inside the human head model. A commercially available mobile phone, operating at 835 MHz, has been used in this work. In order to estimate the effect on SAR due to each part of the phone, the phone has been disassembled in parts and modeled in detail. The SAR calculation has been carried out based on the finite-difference time-domain method. In addition to folder-type phones, a conventional bar-type phone is also modeled and compared under the same conditions for comparison.
