Abstract
The merging of images is a major aspect in medical multimodality imaging. We have implemented different merge approaches and reviewed their contribution to images of heart phantom that have been obtained in MRI and SPECT respectively. An infarct has been simulated. Images have been previously aligned. The quality of the merge approaches has been evaluated by contrast and edge structure preserving
