Abstract
We modeled the corneal surface as a torus before surgery and modeled the corneal surface as a sphere after surgery to determine the ablation profile in refractive surgery. The two different-radii of curvature of the torus along its orthogonal meridians are determined by the deepest and flattest section of the corneal measure by topographic observation. The results show the model is effective to correct myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism with the rule in the ophthalmic excimer laser system.
