Abstract :
This paper is based on results of experimental work dealing with individual PD current pulses, generated under controlled conditions. Measurements of such pulses were performed using an ultra wideband (UWB) measuring system and their individual integrated charges were compared to the charges measured by commercial PD detectors. Open air conditions and transformer oil were used as the dielectric medium. The differences found are presented and discussed
