Abstract
Technology continues to advance day by day. There has to be a paradigm shift in the conventional teacher-centric teaching to a student centric learning so that students grasp a better understanding of the subject. The computer technology and the internet have proven to have vast potential to provide an interactive learning environment. This paper focuses on two powerful software tools-MATLAB and LABVIEW extensively used for simulation and modeling of engineering applications. An example of simulation of a full converter using the two softwares is also shown to establish the great power and utility of the packages.
