Abstract :
We present the MatlabTM Simulink model and its corroboration with experimental transmission of amplitude and differential phase modulation incorporating RZ, NRZ, carrier suppressed RZ formats over 320 km long-haul optical fibre transmission systems. Dispersion tolerance of the transmission systems under non-compensation and compensated transmission fibres is given. Simulated and measured eye diagrams are reported.
