Abstract :
A design of three-dimensional (3-D) Y-C separation filters for NTSC signals is proposed, which consist of horizontal one-dimensional (1-D) and vertical-temporal two-dimensional (2-D) filters. The design is formulated as a linear programming problem. The design example shows the usefulness of this approach. Implementation of the filters is also considered
