  • Abstract
    This paper reports on a new approach for the analytical inductance calculation of multi-wire coils. The presented algorithm gives a fast and accurate method for calculating the inductance of such a coil, dependent only on geometrical parameters. The results are compared to fabricated micro coils with an inductance ranging from 45 nH to 10 muH. This algorithm shows a very good agreement to the measured curve characteristic. A lumped parameter model is also developed and analyzed.
