Abstract
In this paper, theoretical investigation is shown for cuts and propagation directions on La3Ga5SiO14 substrates where a Rayleigh wave does not exist. First, it is shown that a Rayleigh wave does not exist by examining the relationship between a phase velocity and a determinant value. The reasons why a Rayleigh wave does not exist is that the real part of one attenuation constant becomes almost zero. Second, cuts and propagation directions where a Rayleigh wave does not exist are shown as counter maps
