Abstract :
This research is to develop a system to allow cancer researchers as well as drug discovery people to study drug effects in situ, real-time and at "few cells" level but large cell numbers. A microelectrode array was designed and fabricated by using silicon micromachining technology. The cancer cell NCI-H460 was attached on the Au microelectrode and the high impedance sensitivity at very "few cells" level has been achieved. The results of the anti-alpha2beta1-integrin effects on NCI-H460 lung cancer cells attachment was first time reported. The results obtained here show a good potential to achieve the single cell attachment detection.
