  • Abstract
We have developed a two-channel automatic-gain-controlled transimpedance amplifier IC by using InP heterojunction bipolar transistor (HBT) technology. The single-ended maximum S21 was 28 dB and the 3-dB bandwidth was 19 GHz. The estimated maximum differential transimpedance gain is 68 dBOmega. This IC is suitable for assembling a single-package two- channel photoreceiver for a compact 43-Gbit/s optical differential quadrature phase-shift keying (DQPSK) receiver.
