Abstract :
In this paper, a high efficient baseband transceiver is proposed for IEEE 802.15.4 LR-WPAN systems. A Maximum Likelihood Estimation (MLE) based non-coherent demodulation scheme is used in the transceiver. The Packet Error Rate (PER) of the proposed transceiver is <; 1% at SNR of 2.9dB, which outperforms the prior works. Implemented in a 0.18um CMOS technology, the overall power consumption is 4.8mW at 8.0MHz system clock.
