Abstract
A reconstruction algorithm used in conjunction with the Tilt Echo technique is presented. It involves an intermediate step of filtering. There is no need to extract the boundaries of the structure being imaged, which leads to a fast and efficient reconstruction system. Using image processing techniques, the acquired images are first filtered in order to reduce the noise and hence improve the signal-to-noise ratio. The regional median filtering process helps to further improve the quality of the images. The weights chosen for the mapping have shown reliable results and provided accurate reconstruction of image planes
