Abstract :
This paper presents a customized, hierarchical and modular analysis tool for segmenting radiographic images of cervical and lumbar spine. This scientific tool is being developed in close collaboration with experts at the national library of medicine (NLM), and is intended for use in content-based image retrieval systems, operating on radiographic spine image repositories.
