Abstract :
One of the main questions related to fuzzy systems regards the execution time of the algorithms used. This paper presents some efficient methods in this respect. Another characteristic of the presented algorithms is that they can also deal with information gaps, a situation which is generally not handled by the so-called "classical" methods. The first interpolation method KH (Ko´czy-Hirota, 1993) interpolation - is thoroughly discussed; and afterwards, MACI (Modified α-Cut-based Interpolation) - the most recent improvement of KH interpolation - is also described. Some other, conceptually different, methods conclude the survey
