Abstract :
As in several engineering applications, biomolecular systems present impedance-like effects at interconnections called retroactivity. This phenomenon presents a challenge for modular design in synthetic biology. An insulation device is a biological module that enables attenuation of retroactivity at interconnections. In this paper, we propose the design of an insulation device by exploiting the naturally existing time-scale separation of phosphotranspher systems.
