Abstract
ECG signals demonstrate the electrical activity of the heart and they are the most important data used for the diagnosis and treatment of heart diseases. The aim of this study is to give a new perspective for the detection of Premature Atrial Contraction (PAC) and Premature Ventricular Contraction (PVC) disorders in ECG signals. In this study, a MATLAB based user interface was developed and used for filtering, up/down sampling, and detecting the PVC and PAC activities. Based on our experimental studies, it was observed that the proposed algorithm gives successful results except for some ECG derivations.
