Abstract
In this paper, an advanced H∞ controller is designed as a DC voltage regulator for a 3-phase AC/DC PWM voltage source converter, which is under a predictive current control with a fixed switching frequency (PCFF). The robust control offered by the H∞ controller is to deal with in particular system uncertainties, such as load change, sensor noise and variation of the system parameters, that directly degrades the performance of the PCFF scheme. The successful introduction of the H∞ control into the engineering application is demonstrated in this paper.
