Abstract :
This paper proposes a simple method of calculating the critical load-shedding time in a power system governed by discrete dynamics. The algorithm is based on the identification of the region of attraction boundary of a stable equilibrium set, and its intersection with the fault-on trajectory, when a specific load-shedding scheme is applied.
