Abstract
Tour into the picture (TIP) proposed by Horry is a method for generating a sequence of walk-through images from a single reference image. By navigating a 3D scene model constructed from the picture, TIP produces convincing 3D effects. however, this algorithm must take only a vanishing point and the selection of the vanishing point is very strict. On the basis of the work of Horry and Hyung Woo Kang, an improved algorithm based on TIP which uses a vanishing line to solve the shortcomings that must take a single vanishing point is proposed. Besides, a three-dimensional model based on vanishing line is further introduced. Therefore, image rendering technique based on the relative depth calculation is presented so as to achieve scene roaming.
