Abstract :
In this paper, we present a method for simultaneous enhancement and noise reduction in images using a wavelet transform. The method relies on the manipulation of wavelet coefficients using a filter that takes into account the local regularity of the coefficients in the transform domain. The results of experimental simulation on images with additive white Gaussian noise are presented to illustrate the performance of the proposed technique.
