Abstract
The traditional keyword-based retrieval has failed to represent the semantic contained in the content and has led to many problems. This study proposed a semantic extension information retrieval mechanism for knowledge retrieval. The mechanism can achieve the following objectives: (1)to store the domain ontology by using multi-way tree;(2) to index the literature with ontology annotation technology;(3) to analyze the latent semantics of user´ query through semantic extension;(4)to reorder the full-text retrieval results to filter out the irrelevant information. Finally, the experimental results verify the benefits of the proposed mechanism in performance testing.
