  • Abstract
The parametric MLSE algorithms used to equalize the multipath wireless channels have been proposed by Chen and Arogyaswami (see ICASSP´97, Munich, Germany, 1997 and VTC´97, Phoenix, 1997). In this paper, we examine the robustness of these algorithms against performance degradation factors, such as additive Gaussian noise, and parameter estimation errors. We show that, in the specular multipath channels with a small number of paths, the parametric MLSE algorithms, compared with the MLSE algorithms with the conventional FIR channel estimation, always perform better
