Abstract :
Optical Burst Switching technology is a promising paradigm for the next generation optical network. The assembly algorithm is an essential issue in the OBS network. In this paper, we propose a novel assembly algorithm that rapidly finds out the optimal assembly threshold according to the feedback loss information. Simulation results show that the performance of the proposed Auto-search Optimal Threshold (AOT) assembly algorithm is better than that of Fixed Assembly Period (FAP) and Min-Burst Length-Max-Assembly-Period (MBMAP) algorithm in terms of the burst loss probability and average throughput.
