Abstract :
This paper presents a comparative study of two methods for implementing the Quality Cost Temporal Triangle (QCTT) user interface for dynamic QoS Management of Networked Multimedia Systems. Two options investigated are called: the Cartesian Coordinate System (CCS) and the Triangular Fractal System (TFS). We carried out a comparative usability study for the graphical user interfaces (GUI) implemented for the same. The GUI provides two methods of controlling the QoS, namely Pivot-Point and Three Sliders control methods. Overall, the Pivot-Point control method was rated higher by the participants for both CCS and TFS implementations.
