Abstract :
We propose a blind calibration algorithm for removing the distortion created by timing mismatches in time-interleaved analog-to-digital converters (TIADCs). A polyphase domain model of the TIADC which is parameterized by the timing mismatches is introduced. The model is used to derive correction and estimation methods which work in tandem. The adaptive blind estimation method only requires a slight amount of oversampling. Further the overall calibration method has a low complexity, can track drifting timing mismatches, and has an easily updateable correction network.
