Abstract :
With the improvement of 4-dB system margin by distributed Raman gain, we demonstrate error-free transmission of 40 wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) L-band channels with 50-GHz spacing at 10 Gbit/s over 5/spl times/120 km spans of dispersion-shifted fiber.
