Abstract :
Supply network is kind of a typical complex adaptive system. Its structure not only changes according to uncertain market demand, but also evolves along with its external environment of industrial cluster. In this paper, a multi-agent simulation approach is proposed to study supply network dynamics. In the model, each supply network member is represented by an autonomous agent, acting subject to its own constraints and objectives. Finally, a typical scenario is implemented to mimic evolution and revolution of supply network. Some managerial enlightenments are, therefore, presented based on simulation results.
