Abstract :
A cold model test setup was built about by-product using magnesium oxide wet flue gas desulfurization (FGD). The gas-solid flow characteristics of by-product were analyzed. Outside surface structure features of its particle were analyzed by scanning electronic microscope (SEM) micrograph among by-products of desulfurization. The magnesium sulfite trihydrate and magnesium sulfite hexahydrate of environmental protection agency (EPA) were compared. The results shown viscous force of particle is not strength. Obtaining SO2 by fluidized-bed calcinating is feasible. The crystal structure of FGD by-product was rougher, less porous, irregular appearance and smooth surface.
