Abstract
To obtain accurate output power detection and control under load variations, high directional couplers are required in 3G/LTE Power Amplifier Module (PAM). This paper summarizes state-of-the-art design principle, reviews known-best practices and provides insight into minimizing coupling factor variation under mismatch conditions.
