Abstract
The amplitude and phase responses of optical minimum-phase filters are uniquely related to each other and therefore their cross talk and dispersion characteristics cannot be adjusted independently. The implications for wavelength-division multiplexed (WDM) systems will be shown experimentally and analytically.
