  • Abstract
Because of the advantages of high efficiency and low resistance, the electrostatic precipitator (ESP) are widely used for dust removal, and becoming one of the main technology for smoke control. Because ESP use high voltage DC power supply, which produces ozone, and have bad effect on equipment and materials in the dust removal system. Research on ozone forming rules is useful for ESP operation safely. In the paper, an ESP physical model is established, and the relation between ozone concentration and voltage, velocity, location are studied. The results show that, ESP produce the ozone, and ozone concentration increase as the voltage rise, increase as the flow velocity decrease, and increase along with the airflow direction. The relationship between ozone concentration and voltage are approximately linear.
