Abstract :
Coal-fired power plants produce large amount flue gas with fine particles which have seriously harmful effect on human being health. Filtration is the main technology to control fine particles, filter media is the key part of filtration. In the paper, several typical filter media are studied by experiment with fine particles in atmosphere. The results show that the filtration efficiency increase with the increase of particles´ diameters, and decrease with the increase of face velocity. The structure of filter media have more effect on filtration efficiency, HEPA filter paper owns highest efficiency, but it´s application field is limited due to other character..
