Abstract
Flat plate photovoltaic technology has an integrated set of measurement methodologies for cells, modules and systems that include most of the required international standards to support orderly business development of the technology. These methods are required to support the energy delivery calculations imbedded in various well known and validated programs. Concentrating photovoltaic technology (CPV) lacks the same set of accepted methods and standards. This paper discusses the current status of methodologies and makes recommendations for development of standards and performance measurement methods.
