Abstract
In this work, electric field dynamics of terahertz signals guided along straight and bended metallic slit waveguides are investigated. Metallic slit waveguides provide low-loss and non-dispersive signal propagation at THz frequencies. Here, spatiotemporal field mappings are employed to demonstrate highly confined and undistorted THz signal propagation in metallic slit waveguides. Low-loss propagation is experimentally shown in bended waveguide structures having bending radii as small as 5 mm. Experimental results covering the frequency range of 0.1 THz - 1.0 THz are presented.
