Abstract :
In typical W-CDMA propagation environments, the interference level is an important factor constraining user´s QoS. Adaptive type smart antennas are an effective solution for the interference problem. The paper describes an implementation of digital beamforming modules needed for appropriate operation of a UMTS adaptive antenna. The true performance of the proposed modules is checked using a smart antenna prototype (ADAM). Measured data obtained from this prototype are presented in graphical form.
