Abstract :
The tuning of parameters for traditional PID controllers was based on the mathematical model of the object and some control rules, which was difficult to adapt to complicated and variable control systems. Fuzzy control technology was applied to design a two-input and three-output self-adapting fuzzy PID controller to control the water level of boilers drum. The designed controller was simulated in MATLAB environment, and the results show that the self-adapting and robustness of the fuzzy controller are better than that of the traditional PID controller. This controller is used in a boiler drum level control object, and got a satisfactory result.
