Abstract :
Cayley differential unitary space-time modulation (CDUSTM) is a good solution for high data rate communication in noncoherent multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channel as it can greatly increase the data rate without channel state information (CSI). However, at low to medium signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), the bit error rate (BER) is too high to accept. In this paper, we propose a combination scheme of turbo coding with CDUSTM and present the corresponding iterative decoding algorithm. We analyze the convergence behavior of iterative decoding by extrinsic information transfer (EXIT) chart. Simulation results show that it can greatly improve the system performance compared to the uncoded systems for various transmit and receive antennas.
