Abstract
A novel and Compact folded-line band-stop filter is presented in this paper. A common design procedure is used to design the filter. The folded lines including microstip and coplanar waveguide (CPW) for obtaining the reduced physical dimensions are described. The filter design has been validated by using full-wave EM simulation. The 20-dB fractional bandwidth (FBW) is better than 50 % at the central frequency 0.9 GHz, therefore, the proposed filter exhibits a wideband property. Moreover, the distinct advantages of the folded-line filter design are a compact footprint and realizable physical dimensions, compared to the unfolded-line structure.
