Abstract :
The dense gas and solid two-phase flow model in the desulfurization tower is presented based on the LES and the dense kinetic theory of granular flow, The kinetic-frictional constitutive model for dense assemblies of solids is incorporated in the simulations of desulfurization tower. This model treats the kinetic and frictional stresses of particles additively. the distribution of particles velocity and concentration in the three zones of spouted desulfurization flow, spout, annulus and fountain were numerical studied. The results of simulation showed that the increase of nozzle velocity have contributed to the gas and solid flow behavior in spouted desulfurization tower.
