Abstract
The general practice in developing electronic negotiation systems is to design a base framework on which the system will be based Thus, most of the existing frameworks for electronic negotiations today are tied to specific negotiation systems for which they were developed, preventing them from being applied to other negotiation scenarios. This has also made evaluation of electronic negotiation systems difficult. This paper presents an examination of the state of the art in negotiation frameworks. It aims to guide the developers of electronic negotiation systems in choosing the appropriate framework for their particular scenario. A detailed comparison of some frameworks will be undertaken along the lines of the major issues in electronic negotiations of multi-attribute negotiation, negotiation strategies, human interaction to name a few
