Abstract :
Coal-fired power plants play a significant role in the abatement of the CO2 emissions. Solar hybrid with a coal-fired power plant is an attractive option for the solar energy utilization and energy conservation. An analysis model was built up on the basis of the material balance and the performance of the boiler integrated with the solar energy in which parabolic trough solar thermal collectors were adopted. A comparison of the presented model with the boiler thermodynamic calculation was investigated through a case study of a 600MW subcritical boiler with the integration of the solar energy, and the results show that the presented analysis model can meet the need of the engineering calculation.
