Abstract
The paper discusses the effective use of WebBoard as an asynchronous communication tool to facilitate class interaction in distance learning. Students´ perceptions of the educational functions of WebBoard were polled and analyzed. Instructors were interviewed on their views of WebBoard management. The discussion examines issues including perceived advantages and barriers in using WebBoard for class interaction in distance learning, board organization and management, instructor´s direction and guidance, types of questions, and students performance evaluation
