Abstract :
In this paper, we present a loss compensated photonic true-time delay module, employing erbium-amplified polymer waveguide (EAPW). The reconfigurable TTD line incorporates optical switches and fixed length waveguides, to provide numerous time delays with minimum hardware. The passive optical properties are simulated and the active properties are measured. A 0.5 dB gain was measured from a 2 cm device when pumped with 75 mW.
