Abstract
According to the characteristics of RGB colored images, an improved energy of image gradient evaluation function is proposed, it makes full use of the color information in colored images, and has a better sensitivity near the peak of the evaluation function. A new searching method is applied in the auto-focusing process which combines the advantages of average searching method and hill-climing searching method.
