Abstract :
A wideband dual-polarized patch antenna array on a finite conducting cylinder is investigated. By employing the L-probe coupling technique and phase cancellation technique together with two vertical sidewalls, a wideband dual-polarized array with high isolation (S12 < -32 dB, 1.85-2.24 GHz) is fabricated and tested. The proposed antenna is suitable for various mobile communication applications, including smart antenna and MIMO designs.
