  • Abstract
The authors consider the addition of new modes to the MINTERM terminal for product improvements and providing a versatile multimode high-performance HF modem for tactical secure communications. The new modes will include MIL-STD-188-110A serial tone, STANAG 4285, and FSK (frequency shift keying). They will provide compliant performance and also backward compatibility to existing FSK modems. All existing MINTERM functions will be maintained. The enhanced modem functions to be added will include: (a) 110A single-tone fixed-frequency 75-2400-b/s data; (b) 110A FSK 75-1200-b/s data; (c) STANAG 4285 single-tone 75-2400-b/s data; (d) 110A single-tone slow frequency hopping (SFH) 2400-b/s voice; and (e) 110A single-tone SFH 75-2400-b/s data
